How long does the sea trip last?

The tour runs all day. We head out to sea in the morning and return to your hotel at around 09:00–15:00 (the exact time depends on the weather and the route). Before departure, our team usually confirms the pickup time and the starting point.

Can I bring my children on the trip?

Yes, the trip is suitable for families. Kids usually enjoy swimming, the boat and the island stops. Very young children may find the long time on the water and the active schedule tiring, so bring a hat, a snack and plan a rest break in advance.

What is included in the price of the sea trip?

The following is usually included: transfer to the starting point, guide and crew, entrance tickets as per the programme, lunch or barbecue on board, and stops for snorkelling and rest. If there are extra activities, their cost is confirmed before departure so everything stays clear.

What clothes and shoes should I bring?

The best choice is light clothing, swimwear, a cover-up or long-sleeved shirt for sun protection, and comfortable footwear (sandals with a strap or trainers). Be sure to bring a hat and SPF, because the sun feels stronger on the water.

What should I bring on the sea trip?

Bring your passport or a copy, water, phone and power bank, cash for personal expenses, and your swimsuit. A light rain jacket is useful in case of rain, and a waterproof phone pouch keeps your devices safe from splashes.

What if I get seasick at sea?

If you get seasick, take a remedy 30–60 minutes before departure and don't travel on an empty stomach. On board, choose a seat closer to the centre of the boat, sip water slowly, and keep your eyes on the horizon. This really helps.

Can I join if I can't swim?

Yes, you can. You can relax on the deck, take photos, try a paddle board near the boat in a life vest, and swim only where you feel comfortable. Life jackets are usually provided for safety, and the crew will tell you where it is best to swim.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If the sea becomes rough or the forecast is poor, the route may be changed or the departure postponed for safety. Typical options are adjusting the locations, moving to another date, or changing the format. It all depends on conditions and the organiser's rules.

I'd recommend @Ksenia_BigTravelChat. We booked a speedboat trip to the southern islands as a private group. Everything was well organised, and Ksenia replies very quickly! The boat was nice and clean, and on board we had water and an ice box to keep our wine and prosecco cold. The crew was polite. Best of all, they took us to the islands while there were still few people there, so we had time to take loads of photos. (When the big group tours arrive, that's impossible because of the crowds.) We brought our own drone and flew it a lot. We also used the free drone photo service included in the fare, and the finished photos were sent to me straight away via AirDrop. Hi Ksenia, we were thrilled with the tour and loved everything about it. We especially liked our guide, a wonderful man. We were also very happy that you included the coconut prison, because we really wanted to go there and it wasn't in the plan at first. One girl in our group was completely fixated on it. It was great that they let you taste things and didn't just talk about them. There was fish sauce to try, and some kind of alcohol too. We were really happy with you. We have another tour with you coming up, and we also booked a yacht with you. The boat on the 23rd is all good so far. Thank you for Mikhail too. 5 Islands Tour: at the second stop you'll be offered photo and video shoots, which are included in the fare. On site you can rent flowing dresses, as the photos are taken on swings. You can bring your own outfit so you don't waste time changing. The beaches were clean, there were no waves, and there were no extra stops at odd shops pushing you to buy things. Our guides were Igor and Marina, so it was easy to ask questions along the way. Toilets cost 10 VND and showers 20 VND, so bring some small change. The lunch was filling and Vietnamese.

Safari+ Star Beach: we paid extra for a buggy at the zoo, +100 VND per person, so we didn't have to walk in the heat and could fit everything in. Great bird show, very interesting animal areas, and the park is well designed with plenty of shade. Lunch was very tasty. There you can also try the freshest oysters and sea urchins, 50–60 VND each. I'd recommend trying them there, since at other places it's not clear when they were caught. The road to Star Beach is quite hard, so I don't recommend driving there yourself. The road is under repair, and if you ride a motorbike in the dark you need superhuman driving skills. Our guides were Maria and An. Maria knows a lot and in detail about life in Vietnam. An is a Vietnamese guide who speaks good English. It's very interesting to talk with them. They'll tell you about local traditions, where to buy things, and lots of other useful information.

How to Prepare for Your Sea Trip from Nha Trang

📌 Comfortable Shoes

There will be a pier, a boat, sand and wet surfaces, so comfortable shoes really come in handy. Choose sandals with a secure strap or light trainers to avoid slipping, avoid rubbing your feet and move around the boat with ease.

☀️ Light Clothes and Swimwear

Bring light, breathable clothing, a swimsuit, a towel and a dry change of clothes, as there will be swimming, snorkelling and SUP boards. On the boat, a cover-up or long-sleeved shirt is useful. It protects you from the sun and wind and helps you stay comfortable all day.

🧢 Hat

On the water the sun feels stronger, so a cap or hat is a must for a sea trip. A hat protects you from overheating and is also handy during island stops, the barbecue and relaxing on deck.

🧴 Sunscreen

Apply SPF 50 before you go and reapply after swimming, as it's easy to get sunburnt at sea even on cloudy days. It's best to bring waterproof sunscreen and a separate lip balm with SPF, so protection works in the wind and spray.

💧 Drinking Water

Drinks are often served on board, but your own water bottle is still useful, especially after snorkelling, fishing and time on a SUP board. In the heat, it's handy to add electrolytes or bring an isotonic drink to avoid fatigue.

💰 Cash

Bring some cash for personal expenses: souvenirs, extra drinks or small purchases along the way. It's best to have small notes so you can pay on the spot without waiting for change.
