Signature Tour "Around Sri Lanka in 6 Days"
Key route locations:
- Colombo
- Hindu Temple
- Jami Ul Alfar Mosque
- Lotus Tower
- Sigiriya Village
- Pidurangalla Climb
Day one of your journey takes you through the dynamic, multicultural city of Colombo. After arriving in Sri Lanka, you head straight out to explore the richness of its capital. The Gangarama Temple, set beside a turquoise lake, brings calm and a sense of reverence for Eastern philosophy. At Liberty Square, monuments and granite buildings tell the story of the nation's pride.
Next, the Lotus Tower lifts you above the city, showing the variety of streets and rooftops in Colombo. At the Hindu Kovil temple, the colours and sounds of the East come together in one harmony. Finally, the Jami Ul Alfar mosque brings Arabic touches of elegance and style to your day.
On the second day, you wake to a peaceful setting: a river flows gently, and elephants graze near your room windows. To get closer to these giants, you can ride an elephant. Then you visit the small village of Sigiriya, rich in stories and customs. Taking you back in time, a buffalo cart ride gives you a full sense of simple village life. A catamaran and boat trip help you forget the bustle of the modern world and enjoy freedom. The day ends with two highlights: a village lunch full of local recipes, and a climb to Sigiriya or Pidurangalla rock, where the views around you inspire.
Key route locations:
- Dambulla
- Traditional Saris
- Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic
- Royal Botanical Garden
- Ambuluwawa Tower
After a delicious breakfast, the first real challenge awaits: the climb to the Golden Temple in Dambulla, which impresses with its golden Buddha statues and sheer size. Nearby is a series of cave temples decorated with ancient frescoes and statues that are centuries old. You will explore history and faith, standing in the shade of age-old columns and taking in idyllic views beyond the horizon. The day ends with a visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy, the most important pilgrimage site and a symbol of Sri Lankan culture.
The fourth day begins with a walk through the Royal Botanical Garden, a favourite spot for scientists and nature lovers. Its alpine flower beds, tropical blooms and grand trees make you feel like a plant explorer. After the walk, you head to a gem factory, where you can hear about local minerals and how they are cut and polished. A short stop at the Ambuluwawa Tower offers beautiful views over the area, and a later walk through tea plantations fills you with fresh mountain air and an appreciation for the work of local farmers.
Key route locations:
- Train ride
- Nine Arch Bridge
- Ravana Falls
- Yala National Park Safari
- Galle Fort
- Hikkaduwa Beach
Your new day begins with hot coffee and boarding a vintage railway express that winds through misty green mountains and tea plantations. Afterwards, you will visit the magical Nine Arch Bridge. Later, you head to the Ravana Falls, whose powerful roar drowns out every other sound. Then comes the highlight of the day: a safari in Yala National Park, where giant elephants roam, leopards stalk and timid antelopes dart about.
The sixth day starts with coffee and a first view of the blue ocean. The first highlight of the day is a walk around Galle Fort, which immerses you in the atmosphere of the colonial era. Narrow streets, houses with tall windows, an old lighthouse and the azure ocean make you feel you have stepped into another world. Then comes a touching scene at Hikkaduwa Beach, where you can watch turtles playing in the warm surf. The final stop is a turtle farm, where tiny hatchlings crawl across the wet sand, waiting for their first trip to the ocean.
Farewell to Sri Lanka will be just as emotional: the flavours of the food, the sound of the waves and friendly conversations sum up this wonderful journey.

Huge thanks to Yasir and his team (the photographer and the driver) for the two-day tour. These are memories for a lifetime, and special thanks for getting us to places when there were no crowds of tourists 🙏 We saw insanely beautiful places, but for me the breakfast with elephants was the most impressive and memorable. If you're wondering whether it's worth going, definitely go ☺️
