On day two, after resting at the hotel, the group gets ready for the highlight of the trip: the climb to Adam's Peak. The hike starts before sunrise, when the air is still cool and fresh. We recommend a light windproof jacket, sturdy shoes with good grip and plenty of water. The trail follows a well-marked path and stairs with railings, with short stops at viewpoints and tea stalls.

As you climb, the scenery changes: first tropical forest and shaded sections, then more open rocky stretches. Closer to the top, panoramic spots offer views of mountain ranges, valleys and the distant line of the ocean. Every new bend in the trail offers a different view, a good moment to catch your breath and take photos. The climb takes 3–4 hours at a relaxed pace on average, so you reach the top in time to see the first sunlight.
At the summit, there is time to rest and watch the sunrise. After a short break, the group heads back down the same route, taking care on the steps.

We got back yesterday from a two-day tour with a night at Elephant Bay hotel and the climb to Sigiriya (this is the one to pick for the climb). It was CRAZY, AMAZING!!!! Best tour ever!!! Our guide Denis (Dinesh) is a genius. He kept us laughing the whole way, told us the history of Sri Lanka, answered all our questions, shared lots of interesting facts and helped with photos and videos! All the stops were chosen really well, and everything felt warm and personal! Special thanks to our driver Shalinda, who got us there safely and with style! Memories for a year ahead, maybe for life! These two days felt like we had travelled for a week through different countries, with different climates, nature and architecture, all in one place on a small island, Sri Lanka.

We loved the Heart of Sri Lanka tour! It was beautifully organised, and we saw an incredible number of sights and really felt the atmosphere of this amazing country. Special thanks for helping with the most important moment of our trip: a proposal at the top of Sigiriya. Your help choosing the perfect moment and spot among the wonders of the world made the day truly unforgettable. A highlight was the night at Mountain Heavens. In the morning, stepping out onto the balcony and seeing elephants wandering below was magical! What made the trip perfect was our guide Yasir, the heart of the tour :) He told us about every sight with great charm, knew the best angles for photos and anticipated what we wanted. His care, attention and great sense of humour created a truly friendly and comfortable atmosphere. We felt completely safe, as if we were travelling with an old friend. Thank you to Yasir and the whole team! We will definitely recommend you to our friends!

We're sharing our impressions on the way home from the wonderful two-day tour "Heart of Sri Lanka"! The earlier reviews already say everything about the tour itself, so we'd like to describe what we experienced thanks to our guide Yasir and our driver Usama. A word about the drive: the car was comfortable and new, the air con saved us the whole way, and despite the winding roads, the driver followed all the rules like a European driver. But a special thank you goes to Yasir. He helped us with every little question along the way. He is a very caring and attentive person. When someone tried to sell us something expensive, he took us to another place where the same thing was cheaper. At the tea factory during the tasting, we were only offered one type of tea. Yasir spoke up for us, and in the end we got to try all the varieties. On the way, he showed us many affordable places where we could get tasty food and fruit. Yasir was also a very interesting person. For two days we chatted about the culture of his country and compared it with ours. His language skills are excellent, he is deeply knowledgeable and a real polyglot. He even gets our memes :) To our surprise, Yasir added variety to our programme. At the end of the second day we visited a village where we saw traditional village life and customs, were treated to traditional food and sweets, and were allowed to crack a coconut 🥥 And we can't skip the fact that Yasir is a professional photographer. The photos in this message are his. We're just pulling up at our villa to rest after such a full and emotional programme. Many thanks to the organisers, Yasir, Usama and the local people of Sri Lanka!
