Diving with an English-speaking instructor in Sri Lanka means warm water, good visibility and comfortable conditions to explore the underwater world without stress or overload. The south coast is ideal for first-time divers and for those with experience who want to see more.

The main dive sites are Mirissa, Unawatuna and Hikkaduwa. They are close to each other, but each offers its own style of diving. You can expect coral reefs, a variety of tropical fish and marine life often seen in shallow water, such as sea turtles, rays and octopuses. On lucky days you may also spot larger marine visitors.

For history lovers and anyone who likes unusual sites, there are dives to sunken ships. The south coast of Sri Lanka is known for its wrecks, where reefs meet metal structures, creating scenic and rich routes. These dives suit beginners too, thanks to moderate depths and calm conditions.

The tour is designed so that everyone can feel confident. The programme includes an instructor, all necessary equipment and a clear dive plan. You start with training and a briefing, where you learn how to breathe and move underwater, then do one or two dives, depending on the programme you choose.

You get a safe, rich and memorable experience, and you can choose the format that suits you: from a relaxed introduction to the reefs to more varied routes with wrecks and different locations. Diving with an English-speaking instructor in Sri Lanka is a chance to see the ocean alive and real, without rush or unnecessary extremes.

We got back yesterday from a two-day tour with an overnight stay at Elephant Bay hotel and a climb to Sigiriya (choose this rock for the climb). It was AMAZING!!!! WONDERFUL!!! The best tour!!! Our guide Denis (Dinesh) is a genius. He kept us laughing the whole way, told us the history of Sri Lanka, answered all our questions, shared lots of interesting facts and helped us with photos and videos! All the stops on the tour were chosen very well, and everything felt warm and personal! Special thanks to our driver Shalinda, who drove us safely and with style! Emotions for a year ahead, maybe for life! Over these two days it felt like we had travelled for a week through different countries, with different climates, nature and architecture, and all of it in one place on a small island, Sri Lanka.

We were thrilled with the “Heart of Sri Lanka” tour! It was a beautifully organized trip. We saw an incredible number of sights and felt the atmosphere of an amazing country. Special thanks for helping with the highlight of our trip: a marriage proposal at the top of Sigiriya! Help choosing the perfect moment and place among these wonders of the world made the day truly unforgettable. A special part was the night at Mountain Heavens hotel. Waking up, stepping onto the balcony and seeing elephants wandering below was wonderful! What made the trip perfect was our guide Yasir, the soul of the tour :) He shared every sight with great charm. He knows the best angles for photos and anticipated our wishes in advance. His care, attentiveness and great sense of humour created a truly friendly and comfortable atmosphere. We felt completely safe, as if we were travelling with an old friend. Thank you to Yasir and the whole team! We will definitely recommend you to our friends!

Sharing our impressions on the way home from the wonderful two-day “Heart of the Island of Sri Lanka” tour! Other reviews have already said everything about the tour itself, so we would like to describe the impressions we got thanks to our guide Yasir and our driver Usama. A few words about the road: the car was comfortable and new, the air conditioning saved us the whole way, and despite the winding roads, the driver followed all the traffic rules like a European driver. But a special thank you goes to Yasir. He helped us with every little question along the way. He is a very caring and attentive person. When someone tried to sell us something expensive, he took us to another place where the same thing was sold for less. At the tea factory during the tasting, we were offered only one type of tea. Yasir stood up for us, and in the end we were given all the varieties. On the way, he showed us many inexpensive places where we could get tasty food and fruit. Yasir also turned out to be a very interesting person. We chatted for both days about the culture of his country and compared it with ours. Yasir speaks excellent English, he is deeply knowledgeable, and he is even a polyglot. He even gets the memes :) To our surprise, Yasir changed our programme. At the end of the second day we visited a village where we were shown traditional life and customs, and we were treated to traditional food and sweets. We were even allowed to crack open a coconut 🥥 And it would be a sin not to mention that Yasir is a professional photographer. In fact, you can see his photos in this message. We are now pulling up at our villa to rest after such an intense and emotional programme. Many thanks to the organizers, Yasir, Usama and the local people of Sri Lanka!
